Induct Carlene Carter Into The Country Music Hall Of Fame |
To: The Country Music Hall Of FameWe, the Undersigned, respectfully request that the Country Music Hall of Fame, located at 222 Fifth Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee, 37203, submit Ms. Carlene Carter’s name to their nomination committee for possible induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
The child of Carl Smith and June Carter and the stepdaughter of Johnny Cash, Carlene’s Country Music pedigree is beyond question. Her albums “I Fell In Love” (1990) and “Little Love Letters” (1993) are hands-down Country Music masterpieces. Ms. Carter’s 1980 New-Wave Country classic “Musical Shapes” introduced multitudes of Pop and Rock fans (myself included) to the beauty of Country who otherwise might never have given America’s Music a second listen.
We, Carlene’s devoted fans, strongly desire to see her lifetime accomplishments acknowledged. We feel that making her name available for possible induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame is the most fitting tribute possible and that she is most worthy of this great honor.
Sincerely,
